Details
A tale of three childhood friends who reunited as they are approaching their 40th birthdays. Hiroshi, who has aimlessly taken over his father’s job as a charcoal maker, rarely pays attention to his hardworking wife, Hatsuno, and his only son, Akira. Akira holds a grudge against his father for not realizing he is being bullied at school. Eisuke, a former member of the Self-Defense Forces, has suddenly returned home after many years. Mitsuhiko, the gang’s “clown”, is always cheerful and in a good mood, despite living with an alcoholic father and running the local car dealership. Their reunion brings back both pleasant and painful memories and causes them, especially Hiroshi, to take a hard look at both their relationship and their lives.
