Chief Inspector Svenja Rasmussen returns to her old home in Flensburg, where she has to take care of her father Morten (Uwe Rohde), who has been suffering from psychosis since her brother's suicide. It's supposed to be temporary, because she's just replacing her on maternity leave in the area she left for Hamburg a few years ago. She is supported by her new colleague Antoine Haller, who on the one hand is a good inspector with ambitions, but on the other hand likes to gamble privately. The new investigative duo still has to get together - here and there it rubs: Svenja doesn't do it with first-name terms in his job and Antoine would rather get by without hierarchies. Are these two going well?
