Maria Bodin, a cunning and overbearing 87-year-old farmer, is faced with a new ordeal: her son, Christian, 50, has lost his zest for life. Following the advice of her psychiatrist, who recommends a change of scenery, Mother Bodin resigns herself to breaking her piggy bank to pay for her son's vacation... in Thailand! When mother and son Bodin set off for the first time, more than ten thousand kilometers from their native land, the shock was enormous: hotel clubs, tourists, white sandy beaches and exotic massages, they clearly didn't have the instructions... it's not easy to get a change of scenery for peasants! The Bodin's embark on a whirlwind road-movie across the country, with only their daring, their hearts and their peasant common sense in their luggage.
