Details
When a young idealistic Israeli military investigator, Anna, confronts an elite officer with accusations of unnecessary violence against a Palestinian man in the Occupied Territories, her integrity and determination are put to the test. Taking a stand against a perceived abuse of power in spite of her colleagues’ advice to back off because of the political complexities of the case, her increasingly zealous quest for justice ends up having far-reaching consequences for everyone involved.

I like honesty and emotional depth. I find them in the films of the Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami (“10”, “close up”). “Man Escaped” by Robert Bresson, gave me the courage to shoot compressed and expressive drama. Japanese films Shows how cinema can be an internal investigation.
