The most difficult day of the year for 16-year-old Jung-hee is the day of her grandmother's memorial. She already struggles with her alcoholic mother, but each year the day is made worse by the arrival of her grandfather’s sister, whose shouting fills the house. Every year, she berates Jung-hee's mother and uncle for honoring the death of someone who has taken her life by suicide, instead of looking for their runaway grandfather. Jung-hee’s grandfather disappeared on the day she was born, and she grew up believing his absence was her fault. So, escaping the chaos at home, Jung-hee sets out on a journey to uncover the truth behind her long-buried family secrets.
