Lucie and her husband Samuel Carrera are celebrating their wedding at the Auberge du Lac de Guéry in the Auvergne mountains in France when lightning strikes them and five others. Samuel is killed instantly. The others survive but become 'lightning-struck,' with strange aftermaths that disrupt their lives.
