Karl Markovics gained worldwide attention through his lead role in the film The Counterfeiters, which was awarded the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. His directorial debut Breathing premiered at the Cannes’ Directors’ Fortnight and won the Europa Cinemas Label Award. His sophomore feature Superwelt was screened at the Berlinale and the Karlovy Vary Festival. Nobadi is his third feature as a director.
