Omaha Beach is a landing area in Normandy, northern France, used by Allied forces in the WWII D-Day invasion. Today, the beach is dotted with the remains of German bunkers.
This is Claire Chazal's first acting experience after a three-decade long career as a TV anchor. While she has previously appeared in numerous other films and television series, it was always in her own role, generally delivering a fictional news report on television.
